Taylor Test Station

I really like the look and functionality of the Taylor Test Station. It comes with a very pricey cost around $1,000. Of course I have all the stuff in the picture except the actual test station and light. Does any other company make something similar to this? Or my best bet is just to make something. I reached out to Taylor but they don't sell just the test station by it self.

Check out the TF-Pro (Salt) at tftestkits.net. It is not quite as fancy, but includes a good size of the Taylor reagents. It also helps support TFP.

Note: I do not have one, but plan on getting one next season

The station itself reminds me of some people’s vape juice stations or nail polish stations. Check out the YouTube for people’s setups.
There’s clear shelves that fit together that could accomplish the task along with adding pegs to keep some things in place like the speed stir. Using acrylic sheets you could cut to any size & bend them as you wish. Like how we made picture frames in shop class.
Then maybe use something like this

My only concern with the whole setup is that leaving all the reagents out exposes them to uv thus possibly shortening their lifespan. This isn’t a problem for someone who uses most of the reagents every day like in a lab & goes through them fairly quickly but it may present an issue for a homeowner who wishes for their less frequently used reagents to last 2 years. To combat this you could also build a light shielding box to go over it.

I can't see what part of the aluminum display is possibly worth the extra $700 over the supplies cost. Both models are on sale right now, down from $1100+.

And no place for the salt bottles if you have them.

Thanks for the post. I had no idea they made a 44mm sample sizer. I need that size as I much prefer using the ph test from the Taylor 2006c. I have the other one, now I got the 44mm one on the way!

It's all about the presentation. You are paying about $700 for presentation. This shows your customers that you are serious about water testing.

That was my thought also. Not sure why they discontinued the stand. Maybe that $700 price kept people at bay.

I just have a cut-off piece of white melamine coated plywood in my storage box that stands nicely behind the smartstir when testing.

... and the CYA reagent. They assume that service guys will use the larger 0013 bottles anyway when running CYA as part of every single water test.

I guess you could ditch 0005 and 6 when using PoolMath to make some room. But when I fork out a grand, I don't want to make room, I want enough room in the first place.

I mean. Lighting really does mess with color shades. Ever notice how nice the meat looks at the store and not so much in the parking lot 15 mins later ? The white lighting in the display case got you.
