Taylor K 2006C test kit

The K2006 / C or the TF-100 are both chlorine only. You have to buy the separate K-1766 ($30?) for salt either way. (If applicable) :)

Important to note that chemically speaking there's no difference between a "chlorine pool" and "salt pool". It's just a distinction of how the chlorine is introduced, the water and the chlorine in it is the same.

Just in case there’s still confusion, the Taylor K2006C works for “both” types of pools. “Both” is in quotes because a salt water pool is a chlorine pool. The only difference is the way chlorine gets added. With a salt water pool, chlorine is automatically generated by the salt water chlorine generator. With a non-salt water pool, chlorine is added manually. The tests in the Taylor kit include chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, CYA, and maybe others I’m forgetting. The K1766 is a salt water test to test the level of salt in your water, as the SWCG needs a certain amount to generate chlorine. Most, if not all, SWCGs have a sensor that reads the salt content of the water, but they’re not quite as accurate as the Taylor test.

Hope that helps!
