Older lady here trying hard to keep a home and pool up is not what I expected to have to be doing at this age but here I am. I’ve been having trouble quite some time I replaced the pump. It seems to be working fine however, I just can’t get it to prime and work strong. I’m tired of trying to save money and do things myself. I need somebody to come look at it. My ex even felt sorry for me so he bought me a Groupon for trouble. Free pools two month service. I’m hoping to get some response from somebody please help.

Welcome to TFP.
There is a lot this forum has to offer. Actually, it is a FREE forum to ask questions and provide feedback. We are staffed by volunteers; however, you can donate to the site which helps pay the bills for website maintenance and improvements.

You can post a picture of your pump and the entire equipment set up as that will allow us to see how the pump is plumbed.
You may want to explain how many skimmers and main drains and if you have any water features, etc.

Maintaining a pool does take time but it does not have to be overwhelming. Many of us found this site to ease the maintenance routine.
Suggest you start by reading Pool Care Basics

Come back with any questions or other information.

I can sympathize, because I've been in your situation for the past 9 years, and taking care of everything around house, gardens, and pool is exhausting, especially while providing full-time free day care for a succession of little grandsons! (But my ex, who wanted the pool in the first place, never used it himself, and is dividing his time between his beach homes on Maui and Longboat Key, Florida and his California country club home.) I'm sorry to say I have been trying since early June to get someone to repair my pool pump motor or even replace the entire pool pump itself. Someone came by and promised an estimate the next day, but despite emails, texts and calls from me, nothing has happened. My son, who just redid his pool, tells me that it is hard to find good workers these days, as there is so much demand. His pool remodel took a year and a half and his boys missed an entire summer of swimming. I hope someone knowledgable can advise you. Good luck!

Thank you for your reply. Your story is similar to mine. My ex now lives in a 55 and older resort style gated community and is retired living our dream. 🙄I did childcare V in my home for 28 years and two of my 3 grandkids.
