I was wondering what are peoples opinion on keeping my pool water between 50-60 ppm? I ask because anything higher than 60 ppm is a pain to maintain my pH. I would lower the pH to 7.4 and in about 3 days it would be 8.0. From what I’ve read, this could possibly be caused by my waterfall aerating the pool. From experimenting, when I keep the TA around 50-60, i don’t need to add Muriatic acid to bring down the pH for about 10 days.

Completely fine. Once your TA is in that range, pH rise is minimal.
