t-cell voltage sensor short chlorinator 1

Salt level at 8400ppm?

Just got off the phone with Hayward Tech Support, apparently a batch of bad boards. They asked me to get a warranty claim started and get my local authorized Hayward Service Tech to replace the PCB.

I replaced two 20AMP fuses this week alone.

The OmniLogic System was installed in August so 6 months old, the new TCELL940 was installed 3 weeks ago

I was on the phone with Hayward and the Technician stated they had seen similar issues before so you might be correct about the bad solder because they were quick to say I needed a new board.

Im continuing to have the K1 and K2 errors, salt levels were lower but not bad 2700-2800PPM
I have replaced the 20AMP fuse 6 times now just keeps blowing

Anyone else blowing fuses all the time?

Alarm, Reason:High T-Cell Temperature Chlorinator1.
Alarm "T-CELL Current Sensor Open Chlorinator1"
Alarm "CHLOR Relay K2 Stuck Closed Chlorinator1"

Still having the issues with blown fuses. Took my water sample to Leslies yesterday and their system read Salt level at 3471PPM......within a few hours the 20AMP fuse blew again. Sent everything to Hayward Tech Support, they escalated it to Engineering and they asked for pictures of my wiring and the Transformer.

Today I was told to replace the Transformer with the correct OmniLogic Transformer and get rid of the old Prologic Transformer. They didnt like some of the bulges on the yellow wires coming from the Transformer.

Hayward Transformer Replacement Omnilogic # HLX-TRNSFMR

Very hard to locate one, everyone is "Out of Stock" and very expensive since its not under warranty but found one for $211.00

Going to replace tomorrow, and update this thread.

Just an update, I received an email from Hayward Tech Support stating that they will be sending me a new transformer to help resolve the issue. The transformer is the old one from my ProLogic set up so I wonder if they are starting to see issues with this kit and the older transformers. The new one is specific to the OmniPL PCB according to Hayward

Here is OmniPL Board and Transformer. Hayward had issues with the bubbles on the yellow wires

Just wanted to say thank you for the originator of this post, I was about 2 clicks away from ordering a new cell (at my pool guy's suggestion) when I checked that stupid 4 amp mini fuse, sure enough, blown. It's all working like a charm now.

What is the model number of the automation?

How old is it?

Can you post a picture of the error notice?
I had a series of alerts concerning voltage and K1 K2 switches. First tried replacing the 20amp fuse and that worked for a bit and the voltage errors kept popping up. I replaced the salt cell and that also did not help. It was suggested here to check the 4amp fuse that I had not checked and sure enough that was very obviously blown. It was very difficult to find the fuse at the pool supply store or automotive store and finally had to buy a whole fuse kit for $35 at Ace hardware to get the 4. They are however available for $5 for 25 on Amazon and so are the 20s.

I also went back through the configuration and reset the new salt cell. After all this the system has no errors
Exactly what happened to me, same system, same rare fuse! Went to ACE, had to buy a kit to get two small 4 ampere! lol those replacement boards are a grand!!!

Its interesting you guys didnt have an issue with the Transformer.

Do you both have the older ProLogic transformer in your new OmniPL or was it an older OmniLogic transformer?

As soon as I replaced the Transformer the issues went away.
