Swimclear filter cartridge replacement brand?

I need four Hayward CX880XRE filters. The genuine Haywards are pretty pricey, but now I'm thinking maybe its not such a bad deal, as I bought some Pool Pure brand ones on Amazon that only lasted a little over two years. One of them has the rubber inner part moving around like its not attached to the pleats and the others are not looking far off. I have used Pleatco in the past, but I just looked and they seem to be more expensive than the OEM ones.

I feel like I used to get 3-4ish years out of filters not 2. Is that normal lifespan? The Pool Pures are 190 shipped for 4.

I have a lot of pollen and tiny seed pod type things that make it past the skimmer and pump strainer, so I clean my filter about once a quarter typically.

Thoughts or ideas?
 
I use Pleatco in mine and have had good luck with them. I use the PA137 and Pleatco calls them "old style" but that gets me 4 for less than $125 total. It seems that lots of companies make these but it's probably really only one or two with a lot of re-branding. Hayward may use the best manufacturer and the rest may use the lesser manufacturer. It's hard to say. Oh, and get yourself some hairnets from Amazon to put into your skimmer basket. It has helped me immensely with the pollen from the dorky trees the idiot church planted behind our houses. I know, two adjectives in one sentence.
 
Thanks. I used to use the skimmer nets too, and they do cut down on the small stuff that gets in the filter, but they require near daily cleaning or the skimmer gets gummed up with whatever all my trees drop at times.
