Our Intex Salt Generator died. It lasted a year which I am beginning to think is their lifespan! While we wait for the replacement I have a question. Normally our levels are totally balanced and we rarely have to make adjustments. When we noticed a little cloudiness we new the salt cell was dying.
I used the calculator and added some Muriatic acid and some liquid chlorine last night and today the chemicals are balanced again. For the next week we are expecting day time temps over 100 and nothing but sun. I thought about putting a chlorine tablet in to keep up with the chlorine burn off but I have never used them before. We are rural so the only ones I could find were 1. Clorox Xtra Blue 94.05% Trichloro-s-triazinetrione total chlorine 84.65% says it has other ingredients but does not list them. 2. HTH 4-in-1 93.8% Trichloro-s-Triazinetrione and 3.5% zinc total chlorine 84%.
Any advice for keeping balanced until the new salt generator comes in? Thank you!!
