Our builder left us these chemicals last year after the pool was completed. He left instructions on when to use. We followed them for a while but lost the instructions in the wind and haven't used the products since. Our water has always been clear so I haven't felt the need to use them.
Is there side effects to using products such as these? Does it affect PH, TA, CYA etc?

Do NOT use either product. Clarifiers are mostly unnecessary and will require you to clean out your cartridge filter after use as they can gum up the filter media leading to an irreversible pressure increase. That algaecide is a copper metal based algaecide that will, if used improperly, cause you copper staining on your plaster finish. Copper stains are difficult and expensive to remove and usually requires draining the pool if the copper levels are too high.

Throw them both in the trash, you do not need them.
