Sunken Patio- Pearland, TX

We are in the process of designing a pool in the Pearland area. And we are currently working with a PB, that’s having trouble pricing and engineering an sunken patio. Does anyone here have experience building a pool w/sunken patio?

Yes. What is the drop from sunken area to street or drainage?

I’m not sure.. all we know is that it will be 4ft deep.

That’s deep. Depending on your fall to drainage your pump will be a concern.

That’s what they are trying to configure. I think we will need a sump pump.

Right, but you may need more than one.

Additionally, With our Texas Gumbo soil there will be a lot of engineering. Make sure you get a core soil sample so your PB/Engineer know make they are working with. Good luck, it will look amazing.
