Sun burning a hole in liner

The other day, I noticed two big holes in our three year old pool liner. It is above the water liner. I thought it could be the robotic vacuum but the liner manufacturer (Tara) thinks it could be caused by the reflection of the sun from the windows. I didn't realize this could be an issue until I did some research. Anyone ever deal with a similar issue? What can I do to. make sure this doesn't continue to happen?IMG_1278.jpg

Do you have any “Low e” glass windows facing the pool? There’s definitely plenty of cases of melted siding caused by low e installations. If you can determine which windows are at issue, then you may be able to have some awnings installed to cut down on the reflections.

Get those patched asap. Don’t assume that it’s ok to leave them since they are above the water line. Even a little water getting behind there can cause all sorts of havoc.
