We set up our above ground pool and bought a tarp to put under it. We have pavers that its sitting on. So will the tarp be enough to no cause any abrasions? The manual says not to use sand under it. Theres maybe an inch of water in it and its not totally level is that ok? I dont know how youd level it without sand either.

Are the pavers set such that the liner doesn’t rub against them? While the manual says not to set up on sand, it’s talking about setting up on sand like at the beach. It is fine to use a couple of inches of sand below the pool just to smooth things out. That’s what I did, and then I placed the pool tarp on top of that, and then a gorilla pad on top of that. Then the pool.
You definitely want to try and have it level to at least an inch. Anything more than that could cause a collapse in the future.
