We are fairly new pool owners and it’s been a nonstop struggle getting/keeping our pool clear. I just discovered this website and it’s been a big help on understanding the basics! We have a sand filter, have shocked and backwashed multiple times, brush daily, net out daily. We weren’t great about running the filter enough which is why it got to this point in the first place, but we have started running it all day and only turning it off at night! The pool will be clear but then have visible Green algae on the bottom, which we will brush up and then it turns the blue cloudy color. We have not tried adding liquid bleach, would that clear it up? The test strips say the FC levels are good and the CYA are low. I worry these strips aren’t very accurate, so I’m afraid to add something that could potentially make it worse. What would you recommend adding? All the information is so overwhelming and I just need some guidance! Thanks so much in advance!!

You need to follow the SLAM Process. To do that, you need a proper test kit. I suggest the TF-100 A proper test kit is needed to get the accurate water chemistry results needed to follow the TFP protocols.
While you are waiting on your test kit, add 5 ppm FC worth of liquid chlorine / plain bleach to your pool each evening with the pump running. This will replenish the FC lost each day to the sun and also inhibit any algae in the water from growing further.
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.
