Storing solar heater during winter

Hi,

I have a ground mounted rack for my solar heaters (2 4x20 Fafco Solar Bear). Every year I go through the ritual of taking them off the rack, rolling them up and placing them under a covered deck. This keeps the snow and ice off of them but they are still exposed to the cold temperatures here in New England. I was thinking of just leaving them on the rack this year. I’m always worried that I’m doing more damage rolling them up dragging them across the lawn and then reversing the process in Spring than if I just left them on the rack. What do people who have real winters do with their solar heaters?

Not sure why you remove them,they get beat up by uv all summer long. drain them and leave them out, no harm will come.

Thanks - that’s what I was thinking. I’ll try leaving them out.

I leave mine on the rack year round.
