Hi guys, having some pretty difficult times trying to keep my stenner liquid connections from popping off and leaking. I am using two 100psi stenner pumps to dispense my acid (diluted) and my chlorine from two hayward tanks with the hayward omnilogic control. I installed two sight glasses that stenner makes and those seem to leak as well.

I am trying to also find some good documentation on which way the gray ferrule sits in the connections. From what I can tell the conical side goes towards the fitting you are attaching too, and the cylindrical side of the ferrule sits under the nut so you can see it on the inside of the nut.

I am also unsure on how tight to make these connections.

On the injection side I am using stenner injector nozzles that have a duckbill check valve in them.

I would come home and my hose would be popped off one of the connections. Is there a better way to secure these hoses? Its all stenner brand stuff including the pipe/tubing.

The directions say to hand tighten, but that never seems to work correctly.

thanks for any help.

Conical side goes towards the fittings.
Stenner recommends using Ferrules only once. That also means cutting the tube off so the compression of the tube is removed.
I keep ferrules and tubing on hand and replace every couple years with tube that is a bit long. When I remove for winter, I cut the tube a little bit and replace the ferrules.
I always tighten hand tight, they always work.
the likely reason for the popping is that the duckbill may be clogged. that happens over time as salt accumulates from the acid. Recommendation is to clean out with a screw driver, and/or some diluted muriatic acid.
the other reason is the threads have worn over time on the caps or the duckbill. I keep these on hand for when that happens.

is that white nut a different part than the black ones that the injectors come with? I did order a bunch of spare ferrules and nuts, but not the white ones like you show. Are those available from amazon?

I replaced the duck bill and its still leaking from the clear flow indicator, further upstream. This is a brand new flow indicator (the one with the white ball).

No, use the black ones, I was just using that as a picture, I couldn't think of the name (closure nut?) so I used a picture. I always use the black ones that look like a bell. Black are for 1/4", white is for 3/8"

The flow indicator is a 3/8" connection...what size tubing are you using?
