The Pentair auto fill can (with valve) states this in the manual:

My question is - if i go with a 15' run of 2" static line with 2 90's and only reduce at the canister... do i increase water volume in static line, preventing any type of air lock????

What are the odd's of "airlock" anyway???? Why would 90's or 45's cause this?????

Moral of the story is - I cant run a straight line like they want!

See this YouTube video:

It looks like the equalizer line is supposed to run slightly downhill from the autofill to the pool. If you need to use 45 or 90 degree fittings, use them only for lateral turns and not for elevation changes - just be sure not to change the overall pitch of the equalizer line.
