Hi everyone,
Thanks for reading this.
After extreme heat last weekend my pool stared to become cloudy and with testing I discovered very low FC levels. I tried increasing the level but it hasn't helped.
I started slamming on Wednesday night.
This morning I read the following (after trying to get the FC = 16 overnight Thursday.)
Readings at 7 am this morning were:
FC=12
CC=0
PH=8
CYA=35
TA=200
This morning I added enough bleach to take it back to FC=16.

Am I on the right track to keep moving the FC to 16 or should I try move the other indicators to other levels as well.
Any advise will be very appreciated.

Since we would round-up your CYA to 40, making your FC SLAM level a "16", I think you have the right idea. Of course try to maintain it as much as you can during life's interruptions. :) Review the SLAM Process page closely for other details like sweeping, vacuuming, backwashing, etc. Each has its place. A SLAM can take several days (or longer) depending on the severity of the algae, so try to be patient. Let the bleach do its thing and you should see gradual improvements each day. Take a pic of the same area (steps or ladders are great spots) each day to track progress.
