I have a maxitherm 200, it will run for 10 or 15 minutes and cut off. Will start again for a couple minutes and stop. The service heater light comes on. It won't give a code when you push pool and arrow up...it flashes random numbers. Have replaced thermistor...hi limit sensor...gas shut-off sensor...thermal regulator. Same issue.

Have you checked the diagnostic LEDs on the back of the board when the Service Heater light comes on?
The Sta-rite heaters are identical to the Pentair MasterTemp except in a different form factor.
