Sprouts growing on my filter

I cleaned out my filter today, and found there were some kind of sprout growing on the outside of the filter.

I know it's been a few months since I've cleaned it out, but was very surprised to see it. I don't have anything growing in the pool, so guessing some seeds got sucked into the filter as some point.

I cleaned them off pretty good, but wondering if I need to replace them?

Anybody seen this before?

During the winter, the CL dropped pretty low for a while. It was in January I got my Taylor test kit and have been on top of it since.

But the sprouts seemed like they were growing in the cracks of the filter, although no way of telling for sure.

Hopefully now that the sanitization is good, nothing new will grow in there.

Also forgot to answe the questions above.

There is one palm that hangs over the pool and a bush, the yard has a lot of vegetation, maybe some seeds blew in and got stuck in the filter, then sprouted when sanitizer was low or zero for some period of time.

No, filter has never been left out, only 30 minutes or so while spraying off.
