SpeedStir Question

So my SpeedStir came in the mail yesterday.

I have a couple of dumb questions:

Do you use it for all tests that call for mixing, stirring, etc?
Do you add in the first reagent while stirring, then add in the next while still stirring? Stop stirring in between?

I bet a dollar to a doughnut Richard will be the first one to answer this question since he's the speedstir guru around these parts! I've listened to him rave on about it so much I just ordered one myself! Daddy needs his pool toys!

:lol: I used it for the first time yesterday. It's awesome, just want to make sure I am using it correctly.
Definitely takes the hassle out of stirring.

Yes, you can use it for all mixing tests. I put the water in, then turn it on to put in the testing reagents. It is a wonderful tool!

I do. I just let it run. If it stops in the middle, I cycle it again. I bought extra stir bars, so I can do all the tests before I have to dump the tubes and do the dishes.

Before you ask, check ebay. 5/16 *1 or 8mm * 25mm magnetic stir bar.

To follow up on Richards comment, it will also work the the other shapes of small stir bars (+, oval, etc)

That is how I used the stirrer yesterday, just wanted to make sure I was using it correctly.
I think I will pick up a few more bars as well. Maybe some other shapes too.
