Hi @BravoRomeo

Sorry to hijack this thread but you mentioned a sunbrella fabric hot tub cover. I would like to purchase one but can’t find where to buy a sunbrella cover please let me know where you bought one or where you would recommend to buy one. Thanks

Bullfrog spas offer this type cover.
The cover guy & spa depot calls it weather shield
& beyond nice calls it fabric look I believe

Here's my observation: I've owned both vinyl covers and a Sunbrella fabric cover for my spa. The fabric cover didn't repel water well enough and over time (2-3 years) the supposedly water-proof plastic wrapped foam insulation became water-logged. It was so heavy at the end, it took 4 grown men to lift it off the spa! I went back to a vinyl cover. For reference, my spa is essentially in full sun and we only average 12" of rain per year in Tucson. Original vinyl cover lasted 6-7 years. Fabric cover only 3 years. Good Luck!

I opted for another vinyl cover this go round myself. After 6 years my vinyl cover exterior was still in great shape. So much so that I dried out the cores & rewrapped them & have saved it as a backup. I may venture one day to replace the underside vinyl with mesh.
The interior/underside was the issue and was starting to shed due to my own negligence.
I also get a mildewy problem under my patio so I worried this might be tough to remove from the fabric type cover if it ever got going.

I have a Bullfrog, so I have the Sunbrella fabric. It like it, and it has faired well. You just have to keep up with it. I hose it off every so often (dirt will collect in it, since it is rough fabric, unlike a smooth vinyl cover) and I use 303 Products Fabric Car Top Cleaner and then Protector on it once or twice a year, to really clean it and then restore the water repellency. It is going into its' 4th winter season now, and is holding up just fine.

I used the 303 fabric guard on mine and it caused stains all over my cover. Think that was because it wasn't totally dry inside?

From my understanding and limited research Core Covers makes many of the OEM covers for the different brands. You should be able to find a dealer on their site: Search Dealers By Zip Code (most pool and spa stores are), and order a custom one through them. They offer a Weather Guard fabric option.

Also the thecoverguy.com has Weather Guard fabric as an option, but I don't know where they source their covers and have heard mixed reviews on customer service.

What was wet? The inner core?

I followed the directions. Hosed it down, sprayed it with the cleaner, used a soft brush to scrub it, rinsed it good, and let it dry. The next day, when it was fully dry, I sprayed it with the protector.

Was the fabric cover true sunbrella fabric?

My area averages 24 inches of rain a year but we get 65 inches of snow annually.

Thanks I have bought the 303 cleaner and protector as well for the current sad vinyl cover.

Yes I’ve read that information on Reddit. I do not think it is sunbrella fabric that the cover guy sells as I’ve read many unhappy customer reviews on their covers.
