Spa Blower too Strong?

Hi,

My new house came with a spa and as I've never had one before, this is all new to me.

The heat and jets all works perfectly, but when I switch the blower on for the additional bubbled, it makes the tub overflow. Does this just mean that the blower is too strong for the tub or am I just missing something?

Is that with your regular pump turned on or off? I find if I put the blowers on without the pump it bubbles out over the edge but with the pump works well as expected. I autual use it without the pump tro make it overflow to get rid of excess water in the spa

Sorry, I didn't realize I had to subscribe to the thread to get notified of replies, so only checked now.

When I put the blower on the jets stop automatically. I can put it back on manually, so will try that later.

I have this problem as well. The blowers are way too strong (and loud) so I never turn them on anymore. Any way to slow it down?

On pool/spa combos the general rule is 1/4 hp per jet, i.e. 4 jets in spa require a 1 hp blower; for 6 jets, 1.5 hp; for 8 jets, 2 hp.

My blower blew up over the weekend so I replaced it. The new one is much much quieter and has a little less power it seems, which is good. I think the old one might have been a 1 200 watt. The new one is 1 000 watt.
