Soon to be new pool owner

Hi all, We are in the process of buying a house with a pool. This will be our first pool, and I am the one responsible for taking care of it. I am reading up on many of the threads here in an attempt to learn a little before we move.

So right now all I know is this

free form shape
Hot tub attached
DE filter
gas heater
3 pumps - I have no idea what each is for at this time
there is a 3" tablet chlorinator mounted in the piping system - I have a feeling I will not be needing that

water was cloudy when we looked at the house.

I think that the pool is around 5-6 years old.​

Welcome! Start in Pool School and read everything you can.

When you get the house and break out that new test kit, do all the tests and post them here with a picture or two. There will be alot of great folks to help out.

Yep, I will be ordering the test kit shortly. I will post pictures and complete the size/equipment list as soon as I can. Hopefully I can avoid the green monster
