I have been trying to get this pool clear for over two weeks now and the power company is really starting to thank me now for the pump being on high for two weeks trying to clear.

The pool had a very nasty case of algae it basically turned green overnight and no matter what I tried would not clear.
I tried 8 gallons of bleach
the next night I tried 2 gallons of bleach and three bags of shock

the pool starting drinking chlorine and would not hold

I took a sample from the pool to the local pool store WRONG POOL STORE
she said shut off the chlorinator and quit wasting chlorine tabs and to put in some banish and keep shocking with three bags in the morning and three bags at night so I put about 100.00 into the shock and done three bags in the morning and three bags at night thinking the pool water was getting better.....NOPE!
CYA: 81
Total Chlorine:0.2
Free Chlorine:0.2
PH:7.4
Total Alk: 118
Total Hardness: 156

I tried one last ditch effort to clear my pool in draining to the bottom step and refilling, I filled the pool and once again throwed the shock at it trying to clear it up......NOPE!

I took one last sample to our local pool store the pool store I should have been using all along.
PH:8
Free Chlorine:4.2
Total Alk: 107
Total Chlorine: 4.6
Total Hardness: 127
CYA: 92
Optimizer Plus: 6 (Whatever this is it did not show on the first test)
They said the ph was a little high to bring it down some before shocking, I used some of there lo and slow or ph minus and alkalinity decreaser, then turned the algae 60 and shock loose in the pool while turning the chlorinator back on because he said turning it off is a BIG NO NO! I have been maintaining my ph levels and shock levels very closely for the past week and my water now has a grayish blue tint to it but is not clear by no means. it has the sort of grayish white to the bottom when brushed stirs it up into the water I still have my pool on high what is the easiest way to get my pool back clear.

A little about my pool:
My Pool is a closest measurement 22,500 gallon pool with a sand filter and a variable speed pump with one drain and one skimmer. The pool measures 16x32 and has a shallow end of about 4 foot to 8 foot with sloped sides in the bottom of the deep end only.

The day 1 and 5 are where I started and the other two images posted are my current situation. Thanks to all those who provide some info in the point of pool magic/wizardry because this pool Is driving me crazy trying to get it clear.

Welcome to TFP :)

Danny has pointed you in the right direction if you want to learn to take over your pool from the pool store.

Your own story as you say it, speak a lot about the inaccuracy of their testing and they aren't doing you any favors.........you gave a test result of CYA 81 but a CYA result of 92 AFTER a significant drain of your pool? That's not possible unless you added a significant amount of CYA to it AFTER draining and before that second test.

You might want to stick around and read some pool school articles. Welcome :)
