SolarCover - Blue/Clear and thickness

I just want to confirm as I am getting ready to purchase my solar cover.
get the cheapest correct?
I am looking at either the Sun2solar 1200 or 1600 series. the 1600 series is $60 bucks more and thicker (I believe 16mm)
Also, is there any difference (besides looks) between the clear and blue for heat retention?

The blue cover will do a better job of blocking UV rays to protect free chlorine levels. The 1200 series is a 12 mil cover. I have the same cover, and it is currently on its third (and last) year. I wouldn't spend $60 more for a thicker cover. It won't last any longer.
