Does anyone have a picture of their wiring inside the solar touch panel behind the screen? My RS-485 connector that comes from my IntelFlo pump only has the black and green wires connected. This is how it has been since I have had the pool. Do all RS connections need to be used with the comm wire from the pump? I have been having issues with the solar touch throwing pause alarm randomly. Pentair is saying it is because the pump is being manually turned off. Which isnt the case because its in the middle of the night when it goes through a cleaning cycle. This happens completely randomly.

Pentair then said it was the cable that was bad. Kind of hard to believe because it works 50% of the time. Or going back to my origianl questions. Are all 4- black, green, yellow and red need to be connected. The comm cable that is currently installed only has 2 wires from the pump. But the replacement comm wires online are showing 5.

All this means is the roof sensor is warmer than the water sensor and the controller thinks it can heat the pool, but it senses the pump is not running. Most of the time this is a non-issue. When the pump starts the error will clear and the solar will come on.

I have seen that before. The alarm happens when:

I have the pump scheduled to turn on at 9 PM- 11PM at a higher RPM to operate the in floor cleaners at their best capacity.

When I wake up (half the mornings) and check the solar it shows solar alarm / pause. At this time the pool is drops to around 75 and the roof is at ambient temp. So when the roof sensors heat up and tells the solar to turn on.....it wont because of the alarm. If I reset it in the mornings, it will turn on as it should.

The pump is not scheduled to turn on during the day unless the solar override function tells it too. So if there is there a alarm.....no heating.

Not sure if I had made it more confusing.

The Solar touch takes over the pump controls with the Solar Intel Override. Regardless of the normal pump schedule it will override it based on the settings for heating or cooling
