Slammed for mustard algae what now?

What a pain! I remember this same deal from last year. Wasn't it pretty much exactly the same? And then it ends and is fine all summer? Is there a tree or something around that might be dropping something into the pool?

Yeah, I meant something dropping in the pool and consuming FC or setting you back after you pass the OCLT. Since it seem like it is just a springtime thing.

Last night at 11pm my FC was at 23, and this morning the FC waView attachment 62818s 22, and my CC was 0......Still dead algae showing up through out the day so far..Got back from the gym, and FC was 19.5, so I added 64oz of bleach to raise above 20...The spots are getting a little smaller, so hopefully the skimmer sock I put on is also contributing to the issue...here is how clear my pool looks moments ago..View attachment 62817

You can see where the stairs go, for its the original blue color of the vinyl..Missing that blue..lol

OK I have a question...After passing the OCLT this morning, im curious of my daily FC loss today raises suspension..I was at FC 21 this morning, but when I got home, its down to FC 15..Isnt that a big drop considering we had rain and clouds today....And cya holding at 50

The CYA only protects a certain amount of chlorine. 50 CYA is pretty good at allowing you to hold a target 8ppm with a loss of 2-3ppm throughout the day. When you're SLAMming, all that extra chlorine is exposed to the elements and can be far more easily burned off.

Just a quick update, I wanted to make sure, so I tested again this morning, and I passed the OCLT, but when I got home, ive gone from 21 to 15.5...Hoping due to warm sunny day that's whats causing the more than usuall drop...Stairs going in this week, because no matter what, we are swimming this weekend...

Finally got the stairs in On sunday..Man the water was cold from the Friday rains....All the overflow that was released, my CYA had dropped to 30, so that was the reason for rapid FC loss, when thinking it was still something living in the pool..
