Howdy all!
My pool has always been pretty clear, I just had lots of dead algae laying on the bottom, I went through a SLAM and that got all taken care of, numbers for today
9/9/24: 2:02pm
FC: 7.5
CC: 0.0
TC: 7.5
pH: 7.2
TA: 50
CYA: 40

What I've noticed is I still get some algae budling up on the sides every other day.. what's odd is it's usually just on the right side of my pool. It seems more like dust, when I brush it comes right off and I do notice a little on the bottom the pool as well, I don't have to scrub, just move the brush over it and it dissipates into the water.

Should I backflush my filter and run another SLAM? Like I mentioned the pool is clear, it just seems that this dust sticks to the walls right side predominate and some on the pool floor...

Thanks!

The 3 end of slam criteria are:
*Crystal clear water with no recurring algae (dead or alive)
* passingOvernight Chlorine Loss Test
* cc’s of 0.5 or less
All 3 must be true at the same time.
Sounds like you stopped before the 1st criteria was fully met.
So its still SLAM Process time.
You should be cleaning your filter when pressure rises 25% over clean pressure.

sounds good, appreciate the feedback. I did SLAM for about a week it took that long for all the dead aglae to go away, I thought I was good, those numbers above are my chlorine level coming down from the slam. I thought I was done although I am still seeing that slight bit on the walls and some dust when I run the brush across the bottom, so I guess I should have kept on longer,my water is clear and always has been never had an issue with cloudy or really stubborn algae, it's alway been dead stuff or the bits on the walls... sooooo ... SLAM again and I won't let up this time .

Thanks!
