Just want to say thanks to everyone who helped me out in the previous thread.
I posted here last year when I tried to slam at CYA of 90 and failed to clear up the cloudiness.
This year I opened the pool to the same thing but CYA under 30 which was great.
Started to SLAM, took 3 weeks to clear up.
After OCLT passed and CC was consistently 0 or < .5 for a few days the pool was still incredibly cloudy. I lost patience and added some chitosan based clarifier from seakleer and then it really started to clear up. So I kept adding the recommended does for a few days. Here are the results.
Now I'm adding half a gal of chlorine every day bouncing fc between 3 and 6ppm. I estimate about $100 a month in chlorine at this rate. Is that typical? CYA is around 30. Would it go down slower at a cya of 40?
