Newer to the forum, my previous thread got a bit windy, but you all were able to get me on the right testing kit and my pool swimmable.

Unfortunately, I still am seeing algae growth every 3-4 days, unless I continuously shock the pool. I need to find time to get the SLAM process going.

Should I backwash the filter prior? My SWG is already off, and the pool water has cooled a bit. It's hard to find the continual time for SLAM with work hours.

Can you post up your latest test results? Even if you do not have time to SLAM right now, you still need to maintain your FC at the right level for your CYA. Why is your SWG off now?

SWG is off because I had to complete a water exchange due to high CYA, and then had started the SLAM but couldn't keep up with the schedule. Right now I'm just adding 3ppm liquid chlorine per day or 2.

I'll post a full test later today.

Tested this morning; will put previous test results as well for reference. As mentioned above, I had done a water exchange to lower my CYA, but it seemingly has increased (I have not added any). Very frustrated.

FC = 1.5 (added 3.0ppm yesterday AM)
CC = 0
pH = 7.2 (7.6 on 8/9)
TA = 60 (90 on 8/9)
CH = 150 (200 on 8/9)
CYA ~ 100 (70 on 8/9)

Ordered enough liquid chlorine to follow SLAM but any thoughts on CYA or other values? I did not measure salt, as my SWG has been off since the water exchange.
