SLAM after water exchange, a few q’s

Hi Friends -

We are completing a water exchange today after high CYA and hoping it goes down enough to start adding FC back in.

I’m thinking we will need to SLAM this evening. I was able to find Liquid Chlorine at the local pool store and WM, but still have a case of unreturnable Caribbean Blue Tidal Wave 73. It appears to just be branded cal-hypo 73%.

I’m assuming I can use the CB Tidal Wave 73 bags for my SLAM so it doesn’t got to waste, but wanted to check in incase I am missing something.

Test results will answer the question. Poolmath says 16 oz of 73% Cal Hypo will add 5 FC and 3.5 CH to your pool. Do the math. If you have room for the CH, use it. If not, don't.
