Hello everyone, I'm looking for opinions on time involved in replacing a skimmer. I used to have lawn around my pool and with the California draught I've pulled the lawn and begun excavation for a pool deck. I've discovered a leak on the side of the concrete surround of my skimmer. You'll see from the pictures, the concrete surround has a very large crack, when you insert a crowbar it's very easy to wiggle the concrete. From this point in the excavation, how much more work would be involved in replacing this skimmer? I don't see any obvious cracks in the skimmer, but I suspect it's leaking from where the skimmer meets up with the pool wall. Opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Dan
