Reviewing our drawings right now before we sign on the dotted line! We are doing 2 skimmers, 3 returns, 2 step jets and no main drains. We generally have some prevailing wind across the width of the pool off of Lake Michigan but not every day.

1. Is it better to stagger skimmers and returns for a rotational flow or go with the wind and put both skimmers on same side?

2. Should I place one return “deep” on the wall in the deep end so I get some more flow near the bottom or just position it at the normal depth and point it down? Where is the best place to put my returns?

Thank you again!

Do what your pic shows.

Put the deep end return the same depth as the others.

How deep will the pool be?

Will you have a main drain in the deep end in addition to the two skimmers?

No, R1 and R3 will create short circuits in the water flow and overpower flow from other areas of the pool creating stagnant areas.

I prefer the flow where it forces all water to flow from one side to the other.

Thank you so much for the feedback. I signed the dig as it is but will move panels around to support a flow across the pool as you suggested. That was my first inclination ss a circular flow as well. Appreciate this forum and you taking the time to respond!
