I’m an optimist or I would say half empty. I’m hoping it’s no big deal. I had my pump replaced and there was air in my Hayward sand filter. I backwashes to clear system of air. After running on filter, the site glass drained half way out again. No visible leaks anywhere. No air in return jets. Is it a big deal or can I just ignore it?

Are you sure the sight galass isn't full and you just don't see it because it's clear water

That's normal for the Hayward pro series sand filters. When in filter mode, the sight glass is open to the waste port and usually drains half way.
Thank you. I wasn’t really sure and we’ve had a lot of issues since purchasing this house. I was hoping for an easy one this time.
