Simultaneously draining and refilling pool

Hi

Want to do as the subject says. Based on what I’ve read for my SWP. I pump at the deep end and fill at the shallow with the pump off. New water will be colder than the pool water.

Do I have this correct?

I planned on using a 5 gallon bucket to time the drain vs fill .
It's a bit frustrating as I am unsure what my CYA really is.

My sister in law has read it at 80 three times in a row. I've read it 120 those same three times both us us using the 50 /50 dilution method.

Call it 100 and it will be close enough once it's drained. Maybe you aimed for 50 and it ends up 60. It's all good.

Yes. But to figure out where to drain and where to add, do the maths in the link. Hose water here is probably 55 degrees once it's running for a few mins.
