I've got a live oak near my pool that regularly drops leaves into the pool. Even though the leaves are on the small side, they are tough and don't bend much even when wet. I think because of that they often get stuck in the input chute of the robot, especially when there's a high concentration in the pool. I figured the problem was the long metal rods along the inlet that prevent it from opening wide enough to let the leaves through en mass. My solution was just to bend them each a bit to allow for a larger opening in the middle. Seems to work a treat!
