New pool half full. Leaving for 6 days tomorrow. What's the best way to avoid an algae bloom while I am gone?
Will your pool be full and the pump and filter running? If yes, at least get your CYA up to 40 and FC a little over target range before you go.
Our pool is not yet full enough to run the equipment and the water has been in for at least a week, cloudy but not green. So IMHO you will probably be okay.

No CYA and no FC and you can leave the pumps running, how about some tabs.? Dump some bleach first to get the FC up, add a little CYA and let the tabs take over from there.
