Went to cleanout the pump skimmer and filters (2 pumps and 2 filters) and I found a small silicone looking gasket in each of the pool pump baskets. The pool is 3.5 years old and they were probably 1.5-2" in diameter and looked like they might be threaded. Of course I completely forgot to take a picture of it and now it's too late to find them but I was hoping someone might be able to give me ideas of what they could be. I was initially thinking pool light gasket (microbrite) but they were in each pump which means they would have gone down the main drain since the feature pump isn't tied to the skimmers I think and they seem to big to make it through there.

Just trying to find out what I need to investigate and if I should be concerned or not.

They were likely the o-rings for the pump drain plugs, stored in the basket after winterization.
I'm in central Florida so we don't have winterization. I was thinking maybe a main drain seal or something when the did pool start up that finally worked it's way loose but I'm not sure... Just don't want to ignore it if it's something to be concerned about

Any idea where to start looking? It was probably 1.5" in diameter approx, hollow, probably .5" tall and had ribs or threads in it.

I don't without seeing some sort of picture. I can't get a visual from your description. Don't know if they are rings, tubes, what is tall etc...

Post a picture of the O-ring with a tape measure or ruler showing the diameter.
As I mentioned I made a mistake of accidentally throwing it away before taking a picture.
Could they be from a bottle of a chemical or maybe from your cleaner if you use one?
Good thought but it was hollow and like a sleeve type of gasket

Is it silicone? Someone may have used it to try to seal a threaded pipe. It looks like teflon tape. Do you have any 2" threaded plumbing fittings or plugs. Maybe going into the pump?

It's definitely a single piece and not like Teflon tape. I looks like a T type gasket and I can't tell if it's rubbed or threaded

What kind of pool cleaner do you have?
Could be pieces of the cassette diaphragm from a Barracuda pool cleaner.

It is probably just silicone someone used on the threads of the main drain or skimmer ports.

I do not think that the parts are manufactured.

Maybe the ports had plugs for the pressure test and they used silicone to seal the plugs.
