Pump has been broken since we opened the pool. The pool was dark green at opening.

Still waiting on someone to come look at the pump to replace or repair.

Used my test kit for the first time tonight.

Should I raise my CYA to help the free chlorine?

Been adding about 650 g of calhypo everyday. I am actually shocked at the progress it’s made despite having no circulation. Just pouring it in and scrubbing the pool to help mix it.

CYA, salt and CH need 24 hours to mix after winter the same as they do when added, for the same reason. (It takes a while to fully mix).

You can mix with a submersible pump if the real one will be offline for a while.

As @Newdude noted, your results may be pretty far off without adequate mixing. So don't start dumping in things, or you may be in for a very nasty surprise when it finally does fully mix.

Cal Hypo adds CH. You don't show the gallons of your pool, so can't say here how fast it will raise your CH levels. You can use PoolMath's "effects of adding" to see.
Until the pump gets fixed, the conservative, least risk thing to do is to add only liquid chlorine, and stir it around as best you can. Use "effects of adding" to estimate how much it would take to add 4ppm for your pool, and add that daily. That may not make progress on clearing, but will help to keep things from getting worse, and not overdose on CL. Once you can get mixing going, and valid tests, then you can move on to adjusting the levels and go to full SLAM.

Thanks. I will probably switch over to liquid chlorine instead of calhypo soon. The pump won’t be in order for another 2-3 weeks I’m estimating. Been using a submersible pump.

I have a robo vac and I’m scared of throwing it in. Will it get contaminated with algae, and cause issues later on when the pool is clear?

It might get some algae in the nooks and crannies but once its in properly sanitized water after the fact, its a drop in the proverbial 20k gallon bucket.
