Should I dig center of pool slightly lower than outer rim?

Hi all,

Putting in a 27' round AGP. I have things level to within an inch now. Going to get pavers in this week and hopefully install this weekend!

I have seen some people mention (and seen a picture) of pools where the middle section (maybe half of the pool area) is about an inch or so lower than the outer edges.

Is this an optional thing for certain conditions? What could it help with?

Some people dish out the center of the pool to get a little extra depth, but you really need to have a liner designed for the extra stretch you will need. A dished out pool is usually 4-6" deeper, there wouldn't be any advantage to dishing only 1". What pool are you installing?

Oooooh, I’m likely going all-resin next year... please post a build thread, with photos!
