My test results tonight were
F.c. 3
C.c. 0
pH. 7.5
Alk. 90
Cya. 40.
Water is crystal clear. Can see bottom at night time from the moon. Going to add some bleach in a few. But my question is as long as my pool test results stay the same and my combined chlorine stays 0 is there a need to shock the pool. As of now all I do is monitor the water and add the amount of chlorine needed to match chart. Have not shocked pool in a while but this is the best my pool has ever looked.

Are you talking about "routine shocking" like pool stores want you to do....with products they sell for this??? Then the answer is Nope!

We don't add anything to our pools that they don't need, and what we do add, we know what it is and why we are using it.

Enjoy the pool. Sounds like you have a great handle on testing and pool care. You're doing it the TFP way!!! :goodjob:

No need to do anything but keep your FC up to the proper level based on your CYA level, Test often enough to know what's going on in the pool, and brush the pool about once a week.

Occasionally you might have to tweak something....but that's just occaionally. Not on any sort of schedule.
