Shock or SLAM?

Hi All,

I recently had very heavy rain in TX in a short amount of time. Long story short the 2 neighbors runoff comes to my yard and caused the mulch bed and dirt to flood into my pool. It's now brown. I've been running my bot to clean the bottom, got the skimmer socks ready. My question is. Do i need to SLAM it or simply shock it? Prior to this I had fully balanced and perfect levels with no algae growth or anything. Just trying to determine the level I need to take.

You’re likely in a mechanical fight and not a chemical one, but without valid test results it’s only an educated guess. Post results as @PoolStored suggested. If it’s dirt you’ll need to religiously vacuum to remove it and assist your filter in the elimination process.

Using a Taylor K2006- Salt. My FC is at 4. CYA is at 70. PH is 8.0. I have had the pumps off during and after the storm. Only my robot has been run. So hopefully it's saved. I emptied skimmers and applied the socks.
