Hi all,

First post on TFP to ask for advice on my sheer descent plumbing. The hose that supplies the sheer descent has detached from the back of the fixture. I’ve attached photos - sorry they aren’t super clear due to the grass. It looks like a relatively easy fix but I’m not sure what type of glue/cement to use to reconnect. Thoughts?

TIA

Welcome to TFP.

Looks to me like that hose ripped and part of it is attached in the wall. Fixing will take more than gluing it together. You need to remove the stub in the wall and see where it is connected. The repair may require opening up the wall so you can get into it.

Flexible hose never should have been used. You should repair it with hard schedule 40 PVC pipe.
