Semi in ground verus traditional in ground

Hi,

I am just starting the process of figuring out what pool is right for me. Traditional in ground gunite for example is obviously very attractive but very costly. I have become aware of the semi inground option and have looked at Gibraltar, Radiant and other brands. I am looking for any comments on how they truly compare to traditional inground.

For example, radiant pools do not have a floor - looks like the bottom is a liner on crushed stone - does that trully feel like a traditional pool? Can you kick off the sides when swimming and not feel the sides shake? If the pools is semi-buried do they need to excavate to fix issues such as a wall leaking?

Any advice and guidance on brands would be appreciated. I live in the Greater boston area.

thank you
