Just had a thought brought to light from another thread. I've been advised to add a sock to my skimmer to keep the stupid helicopters out of my impeller. How they're making it to the impeller after passing 2 baskets is beyond me but also irrelevant for this post LOL!
My secondary skimmer (furthest from the equipment) very rarely sucks anything into it. Nothing even spinning. Should I just shut that skimmer off and let the first skimmer do all the work? Will that overload my pump? If I shut the secondary skimmer off, is there some kind of faceplate I can cover that hole with? Would I have to change the flow of the jet on that side of the pool?
I've lived in my home for 6 years and I feel like I'm brand new at this pool business again!
