Hello,

I am building my pool and would like to have it done in the following three to about a month. In my agreement PB furnishes me with the pool more clean. I comprehend that in all likelihood it will be something extremely shoddy. Subsequently, I was thinking perhaps I substitute the shoddy model for a higher end and pay minimal additional for it as opposed to supplanting modest model inside and out later on.

In any case, as a matter of first importance I need to comprehend what those robotic cleaners do? Do they essentially go around and suck earth from the base of the pool?

Is there models that really scour with brush surface of the pool as they experience the cleaning procedure?

I have two trees becoming adjacent, so I accept I will have leaves on the pool constantly.

What model would you recommend?

Much appreciated.

People here seem to like Maytronics robot cleaners. Lots of information about them on their website including videos of how they operate. Dolphin Residential Pool Cleaning Robots

They have many many models as you will see. We need specifications of your planned pool to point you towards specific models.

The robots such as the Dolphins do a great job of keeping the pool free of dirt, but they are not made for sucking up Lots and lots of leaves. They just dont have the capacity of that. They will suck up a few of them tho, depending on the size of them.

If you get tons of leaves, a leaf rake (big net) is best for that.

The problem with some suction cleaners such as the T5, Kreepy Krauly, and Barracuda, is they are driven by a very basic percussive device in the head.
This basically means that they move around the pool by following the suction hose. Depending on several variables, they have various degrees of success in covering the whole pool.

I would take a look at the Hayward Navigator as a good replacement before going to a pump driven cleaner or a robot.
They have an internal gear mechanism which periodically changes the direction of movement, without regard to the position of the hose.
The Navigator (then Pool Vac) was originally built by a company called Arneson and has been on the market for many years. It's the only suction side cleaner I would recommend, although there may be others out now that perform as well.
About $350 online.
