Sealant under coping on exterior side of pool needed?

Hi folks. Just had coping done (pre cast concrete) and wanted to ask if I should have them add some type of sealant around whole pool where coping attaches to bond beam on exterior side of pool?

In the first picture that area of open space that’s high lighted needs to be filled for support reasons also.
What is going to be installed that will have contact with the coping and bond beam?

Thanks! I will ask them to fill the voids in.

We will be having pavers installed, maybe starting in a week or so.
