Hi everyone,
We replaced our Intex pump over the weekend with AQUASTRONG 16in Sand Filter Pump for In/Above Ground Pool with Timer, Max 3800GPH for Pools Up to 16000GAL, 6-Way Valve. The new pump and sand filter are connected, and water is moving. I have learned that the label on the multi-port valve is so wrong. I learned this as I trying to backwash and noticed I had "very clean" water coming out the hose (and viewing it through the clear blub). I went to Amazon reviews and noticed others saying the multi-port valve is mislabel.
I have found the following by trial and error:

I have found the following by trial and error:
- Closed is really Backwash (water going out the backwash tube was FILTHY and nothing going into the pool - ran it until clean)
- Waste is really Rinse (water going out the backwash tube had some sand twirl though it and then settled to clear and nothing going into the pool)
- Rinse is really Closed (no water came out of anywhere)
- Backwash is really Waste (water going out the backwash tube nothing going into the pool but water exiting was clear)
