Sand Filter Valve CRACKED?

Hi!
I recently got an Intex Prism 12’ x 30”, which has 2 lines to the pump and 1 line to the pool.
Upon turning the pump on, the portion of the valve that connects to the line to the pool cracked and split.

Has anyone experienced this? If I get a replacement valve, will it happen again?

Aaahhh shoot. That's no good. That will not last at all and will probably leak and/or get worse as pressure is applied. I would contact Intex to see if they can send you a replacement or consider discussing with the store you purchased the pool from to see if you can swap the multiport valve with another item in stock. Pool supplies are a bit short lately. That's a shame.

I know! It’s such a bummer! Luckily, I still have the RX600 from my last pool. No filter, but at least the water will circulate.

QUESTION: do you think there was too much pressure on the single hose to the pool since there are two hoses to the pump? That seems silly, right?

I don't see how. Unless something could've contributed to the crack by over-tightening somehow, It just seems like a freak manufacture flaw on that specific part.

That’s what I was thinking, but I was nervous to get a replacement part and it happen again!
As for over tightening, not to fit into a stereotype but I am SO not strong enough to over tighten anything! Ha!
