We purchased a house 4 years ago with a pool. At that time the sand filter was clean at 10 psi. Now it is reading clean at 18 psi. What could be the reason for change on this? The sand was replaced 2 year ago so that shouldn’t be an issue.

Those numbers look pretty good. Could use a little more chlorine, but okay. When was the last time you backwashed?

How would I know if my pump speed is higher? I have Hayward single speed 1hp

Then that wouldn't apply. In my case for example, I have a 2-speed so my pressure is much lower on low than it is on high.

Keep an eye on the water clarity and FC consumption. If you start losing more FC each day or the water looks dull, it may be time to do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test to ensure you don't have an algae problem in the making.
