So I have some sand on the bottom of my pool near the return. I vac'ed it and it looks like it is clearly filter sand. There is not a ton, but I am thinking that any is an issue. Is there an easy solution to this or should I be contacting the filter vendor to see if I can replace under warranty?

If you failed to rinse long enough after backwashing recently, that could account for it.
